ENENSYS TeamCast Vyper2Way: Save on your Satellite Bandwidth Leasing
Rennes – March 19th, 2020 – ENENSYS Technologies, leading provider of media delivery solutions, is pleased to announce a new feature for its well-known high data rate SCPC Satellite Modem. This exciting new feature, a highly-efficient echo canceller called Vyper Echo Canceller (VEC), is easy to implement, allows for a rapid convergence of algorithms and, above all, offers up to 60% of additional throughput at constant bandwidth – opening up the possibility for significant savings on bandwidth leasing costs.
A bi-directional satellite modem, the ENENSYS TeamCast Vyper2Way is dedicated to point-to-point applications: cellular backhauling, IP trunking or SNG markets. It is very flexible as it can act as a modem, a modulator or a demodulator. It integrates the latest FPGA technology required to perform high-quality modulation based on the DVB-S2 and DVB-S2X standards (including VL-SNR Modes). A high-end product, it is designed to manage high data flow rates, it can handle bitrates up to 230 Mbit/s as well as very robust transmissions with VL-SNR.
With the VEC option, it is possible to establish full-duplex links on a single frequency. In a recent, real-life in-the-field situation, TeamCast Vyper2Way was used to upgrade an existing SCPC link; the client, who was previously limited to 61.7 Mbits/s, was able to increase their data rate to 96.6 Mbits/s – using the same conditions and same satellite capacity.
