CRITICAL COMMUNICATIONS
Mission Critical, Private Mobile Radio and Public Safety applications are subject to a major change. Legacy systems (Tetra for Europe and P25 for the USA) operating in narrow bands are switching to LTE. This will bring:
- Higher bandwidth availability
- High Interoperability thanks to the standardised widely deployed and proven carrier-grade LTE networks around the world
- Better situational awareness with the introduction of Mission Critical Video and Mission Critical Data, in addition to Mission Critical Push-To-Talk
Traditionally, 4G/5G networks use Unicast for delivering Mission Critical Voice, Video and Data.
When the number of users in group Mission Critical calls increase, the Unicast LTE network is prone to congestion. This is not acceptable in crisis situations. Moreover, unicast transmissions in 4G/5G Unicast QoS could vary from one user to another depending on where the User is positioned with respect to radio antennas.
More and more operators in the world are mandating deployment of Public Safety Networks using LTE and support for Push to Talk, Push to Video and Push to Data use cases, Evolved Multimedia Broadcast and Multicast Services (eMBMS) become mandatory and need to be implemented in all Mobile devices to be used.

This certification implies a whole battery of tests in a fully 3GPP standards-based environment to ensure the integration of CubeAgent (ENENSYS’ eMBMS middleware) is working properly on the end-device and enables LTE Broadcasting features thanks to ENENSYS’s technology.
Certification is valid for a given version of Android, upgrade of CubeAgent shall be carefully managed to make sure of interoperability with OS, Device and Application
