SmartGate T2MIGen
T2-MI Generation for DVB-T2 local head-end
SmartGate T2MIGen is ENENSYS’ T2-MI generator for local head-end managing few TV services. It can encapsulate into a T2-MI stream one or two TS stemming from a multiplexer or directly from encoders. It outputs the resulting T2-base or T2-lite compliant multiplex through ASI and IP.

The SmartGate T2MIGen is a T2-MI stream generator that is addressing broadcast operators that are looking for a very cost effective T2-MI generation able to deliver for few TV services.
DVB-T2 regionalization saving satellite bandwidth
Combined with ENENSYS T2Gateway for HDc at the national head-end and the T2Edge at the transmission sites, the SmartGate T2MIGen can provide an end-to-end regionalization solution using PLP substitution or PLP aggregation technology. All the national content is delivered only once with the national T2Gateway to optimize the satellite distribution bandwidth; all the T2MIGen at the local head-end delivering local or regional TV content.
Interoperability proven with transmitters
Based on the most widely DVB-T2 Gateway, the SmartGate T2MIGen is compliant with the major transmitter manufacturers guaranteeing a safe DVB-T2 broadcasting over SFN networks.
T2-lite broadcasting for mobile reception
The SmartGate T2MIGen can also be used to deliver mobile services using T2-lite standard. The DVB-T2 standard allows to deliver T2-base signal for fixed TV receivers with T2-lite signal for mobile receivers using the T2-composite technology. The T2MIGen can be used to generate the T2-lite signal with FEF so that the DVB-T2 transmitters can create a composite T2 signal with T2-lite and T2-base signals.
