Multicast Operation on Demand (MooD) and Service Continuity for eMBMS

Zahid Ghadialy regularly updates his blog posts about eMBMS technology. His latest post talks about operators deploying eMBMS for broadcast TV and Mission Critical Communications. In particular, he describes, like we have in our blog posts, how Australian operator Telstra has deployed MooD for broadcast OnDemand. He also highlights the latest in eMBMS Service Continuity in LTE/LTE-Advanced networks, an points to interesting white papers on the subject.

As we’ve discussed previously, these technical advances are well suited for providing OTT over any network, including mobile, fixed and satellite, and important features for a comprehensive Multicast ABR solution.
