MobiEdge - Local DVB-H Adapter


MobiEdge is unique and cost-effective solution featuring DVB-S2 satellite receiver, regional broadcasting over DVB-H network, and saving operators OPEX by optimizing network distribution bandwidth for a national or regional DVB-H roll-out.

 


As first application, MobiEdge can be used as a DVB-S2 receiver to capture signal stemming from satellite and broadcast the signal as it is.

Combined with MobiMUX DVB-H IP Encapsulator located at the central head-end, MobiEdge can broadcast regional TV content with national content and supports the delivery over DVB-H Single Frequency Networks.

In addition, MobiEdge is based on a unique and patented solution that enables operators to drastically reduce their OPEX by optimizing the bandwidth of the distribution network. This applies for regionalization and also in a national only DVB-H configuration.
