DVB-H IP Encapsulation
IP Encapsultation of data is definitely the key processing in DVB-H that will improve reception robutness by adding time-slicing and FEC processing in the baseband signal... but not only: Added value of DVB-H IP Encapsulator is to be as interoperable as possible with the DVB-H handsets available on the market, and to provide all administration and service platform interfacing facilities that are required by Mobile TV Operators.
ENENSYS Technologies offers one DVB-H IP Encapsulator:
Mobimux is the second generation of IP Encapsulator, the first one in its category 100% hardware based, with an impressive list of differentiating features:
Mobimux is the most flexible encapsulator of the DVB-H broadcast market. Mobimux fits in broadcast exploitation mode. The former generation of our encapsulator ( Mobislice ) was a best seller in the laboratory use for DVB-H receiving application development and corner testing, when DVB-H was at its emerging stage
Single Frequency Network Adaptation
With frequency shortage currently running in Europe, and given the price of broadcasting licences in general, operating a Mobile TV or Digital Terrestrial TV in Single Frequency Network mode becomes evident when looking at the business plan.
Setting up one SFN network will make all transmitters to broadcast over the same frequency, at the same time, and the same OFDM symbols. Optional data can even be sent to transmitters in order to refine coverage, and allow individual transmitter addressing.
Specialized in Mobile TV broadcast and Digital Terrestrial TV broadcast domain, ENENSYS offers a line of SFN operation in several standards.
