GigaCaster ASI over IP gateway is now available for sale
ENENSYS Technologies is proud to announce that its new generation ASI over IP gateway GigaCaster is now available for sale.
GigaCaster ASI over IP gateway can:
- Encapsulate up to 8x MPEG-2 Transport Streams over IP
- Dis-encapsulate up to 8x MPEG-2 Transport Streams from IP streamings
GigaCaster has been specially designed to distribute MPEG-2 TS over IP networks from head-ends to transmitters with Single Frequency Networks (SFN) constraints in mind (SFN over IP). It also perfectly works for other needs such as contribution over IP and sites interconnexion irrespective of the content's nature : Digital Terrestrial TV/DTTV (DVB-T, DTMB, etc.), Mobile TV (DVB-H, DVB-SH, etc.)
GigaCaster inherits from ENENSYS' first generation ASI over IP gateways FastCaster outstanding performances and introduces several major improvements (pat. pending):
- GigaCaster, when receiving SFN streams encapsulated over IP, only needs a few seconds to produce "SFN stable" outputs when other solutions need several minutes,
- GigaCaster is virtually network jitter agnostic meaning that it can cope with any network jitter.
